My principal place of residence is in the Wairarapa General Constituency area.
Adrienne is seeking re-election to GWRC. She has held the position of deputy chair of the Council for two terms ensuring that the Wairarapa voice has been strongly represented at the council table. Due to this strong advocacy, Wairarapa received sixteen million dollars of central government funding for flood protection and resilience. It is also set to benefit from an unprecedented investment of over eight hundred million dollars in new trains and associated infrastructure.
Local government is facing unstoppable change right now due to new legislation for water supply, waste water and resource management. We must ensure Wairarapa gets the best deal in the new-look local government model, whatever shape it may take.
