Pōneke/Wellington General Constituency
Independent
My principal place of residence is in the Pōneke/Wellington General Constituency area.
I love Wellington and I’m running because I care about our communities and environment. I want all of us to have access to clean rivers and beaches where we can swim and fish without getting sick; be safe from the impacts of climate change and extreme weather; have cheaper, faster buses and trains around our region; and enjoy our incredible regional parks, coastline, and wildlife. That’s why I’ll focus on protecting and restoring our streams, rivers, and wetlands to improve water quality; reducing emissions to slow climate change; making room for rivers so they can flood safely; replanting native forest to stabilise hillsides; controlling pests for a predator-free Wellington; and improving bus and train services to connect communities. I’m an environmental scientist and resource management expert, and until recently was the freshwater advocate at Forest & Bird. I'll bring my leadership skills, community focus, and passion for nature to Council.
