My principal place of residence is in the Pōneke/Wellington General Constituency area.
Getting stuff done for our community drives my work across council, governance, music and media.
Over this council term I’m proud to have helped fund and support cleaning up Kaiwharawhara stream and Houghton Bay’s polluted waterways, working towards Worser Bay’s community marine reserve, increasing public ownership of public transport (including 18 new trains), and progressing GWRC’s Living Wage accreditation.
With your support I’ll continue to work collaboratively and collectively to make public transport faster, more affordable and more efficient (relieving congestion on our roads) and to restore and protect our waterways so we can safely swim and gather kai. I will stay focused on resilience, climate readiness and efficient growth, including building in the right place to avoid natural disasters. By encouraging development around public transport we can save money on costly new infrastructure.
We can and must leave our region better for everyone who lives and grows up here.
